Buddying Peer-support includes befriending schemes where people offer support and friendship to other people of a similar age; mentoring schemes where older students provide positive role models to younger students; peer-education where people of similar age or background teach others skills such as reading or drug awareness; and peer-mediation where people of similar age or background provide a neutral conflict resolution service for others.

Do you get stressed or have you suffered from problems in school?

Solving everyday problems in school

Have you experienced any of these?

Serious bullying  such as physical attacks , sexual harassment; homophobic bullying;  racism towards Asian, Black, Irish, Greek.

Low level bullying – such as teasing,name calling, offensive jokes, falsely accused, sexism, bad mouthing a group you belong to; prejudice about religions; making fun of accents; cyberbullying

Schoolwork problems – such as stress, classwork, problems with teachers, homework

Socialising problems such as getting on with opposite sex, friendship problems; Interrogating people on their lifestyle choices such as vegetarian and  wanting to know why; stereotyping girls and boys according to their hobbies and pursuits,

Health problems such as disabilities, eating disorders, bad diets, obesity, pregnancy, etc

Loneliness such as being left out , finding it hard to make friends etc

Addictions to  drugs, alcohol, nicotine, sugar

Home problems such as someone dies in the family, problems with brothers and sisters , family breakup. illness etc

Self Image problems such as low self esteem, behaviour problems
