Year 10 students from Longton High School have been taking part in the "Make your Mark Challenge" as part of Enterprise Week.
For their project they were given the challenge to design a national landmark for the Potteries.
The group came up with the concept of a huge plate decorated with icons that represent the six towns of Stoke-On-Trent.
In addition the students consulted with financial experts to assess the profit making potential of the proposed landmark.
When the groundwork was laid, and a model of the plate had been made, The students spent a day in the Television studio preparing a video presentation to accompany their business plan.
On the 16th of November 2005 , they will travel to Walsall to present their project to the judges, they will face still competition from other schools.
We await the result eagerly, Good Luck Longton High!!
