STARS are young people from Longton High with their own club, funding and constitution. The organise activities to promote understanding of people from all cultures. They also celebrate the differences among us all.

In December 2007 STARS won The Young Peoples Community Award.

This category in the Stoke on Trent Citizens of the Year Awards recognises young individuals who have been working closely with people from all walks of life and culture to help build bridges and to achieve a just society. STARS have continued to promote social diversity across all our communities by doing workshops with younger children.
