This week the whole of year 9 visited Short Street, St. James' Church and the Gladstone Pottery Museum in order to find out about living and working conditions in 1900. Students gathered information for their projects from a variety of sources, including films, reconstructions, photographs, models, displays and by speaking to facilitators at the museum. Throughout, students were challenged to consider the reliability of the sources they were using.

The visit will be followed up in school through work funded by Creative Partnerships. Students will work alongside Reveal Theatre Company in order to deepen their understanding of the past. Watch this space or further info!
